We’ve had Norwegian house and disco but we didn’t think we’d be dropping any Nordic Balearic Yacht Rock anytime soon . Yet here we are on Paper Wave with this absolute ace-ness from Martin Wold

Frekke Frø is surely set to be one of the songs of the Croatian boat parties this year. With its hazy dream-like stabs & chords alongside serious washed out guitars and a Norwegian vocal from Alexander Nyhoff, it sounds like the kind of thing that DJ Harvey would find in the crates of a far flung record shop and turn it into an instant ‘Balearic Classic’.
 
Fellow countryman & firm Paper family member Rave-enka jumps on the remix and takes things late into the night. There's an almost tribal thud before the chords come out & the jazz cigarettes get passed around as the sun rises.
